Job summary

Nishat Chunian Limited Head Office is seeking an Import Logistics Specialist to manage end-to-end import shipments and LC handling. The role requires 4–5 years of import experience and a background in finance or supply chain.

You will coordinate with clearing agents, freight forwarders, banks, and internal teams, while maintaining ERP records in SAP/Oracle and ensuring timely shipment status updates. Proficiency in MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

Job Description:

What your typical day will look like

• Manage end-to-end import shipment operations, including requisitions, documentation, clearance, delivery, and post-shipment record maintenance.
• Coordinate and liaise with key stakeholders, including clearing agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, banks, transporters, and internal departments.
• Monitor shipments in the pipeline and provide accurate daily shipment status updates, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of operational issues.
• Oversee LCs and air shipment clearances, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures while providing guidance and support to team members.
• Manage and coordinate logistics-related payments, including payments to transporters, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and other service providers, with proper documentation and verification.
• Maintain accurate ERP records and transactions, with hands-on knowledge of systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP platforms, particularly for procurement, import, logistics, inventory, and payment processes.

• Bachelors/Masters’ degree in finance or supply chain with 4 to 5 years’ relevant experience in Import.
• Strong knowledge of Import Air & Sea Clearance processes.
• Good understanding of LCs, import documentation, and banking procedures.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent systems.
• Excellent coordination, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong record-keeping, reporting, and data management skills.
