Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Lahore seeks an experienced export operations professional to manage day-to-day Air Freight exports and meet KPIs, service deliverables, and customer expectations.

The role requires handling enquiries, ensuring timely shipments with accurate data, negotiating carrier prices, and coordinating with Sales, Brokerage, and Transport teams to drive business growth. 2–3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of export operations experience in a multinational or reputed freight forwarding company.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of air exports regulations and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and uphold DHL Global Forwarding values.
• Handle customer and network air exports enquiries.
• Execute shipments timely with data accuracy in the system.
• Negotiate carrier pricing and support station growth.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Brokerage, Transport).
• Maintain healthy relations with carriers, customers and vendors.
• Improve email response times and quality of service.
• Address customer complaints effectively and escalate when needed.
• Learn KPIs and work with regional compliance to improve performance.

Overview:

We are seeking an incumbent who will be responsible for handling day-to-day shipments & operational activities of Air Freight exports in the most efficient, smooth and productive manner meeting all KPIs, service deliverables & customer expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Owning and displaying DGF’s values.
• Handling customer & network air exports enquiries.
• Executing shipments in a timely manner while ensuring data accuracy in the system.
• Negotiating prices with carriers and support the business growth of the station.
• Coordinating effectively with cross functional teams (Sales, Sales Support, Brokerage, Transport etc.) and ensuring task completion in a timely manner.
• Ensuring a healthy and potential business relation with carriers, customers, and all vendors.
• Ensuring and improving minimum email response time.
• Handling customer complaints in most effective manner or assigns tasks to other functions/teammates.
• Handling aggravated & annoyed customers and bridging the communication gap.
• Learn and understand important KPIs and their impacts and work towards improved results, if needed.
• Taking part in discussions with regional compliance team to improve station’s KPI performance.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of export operations work experience at multinational or renowned local freight forwarding company.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification in relevant field.
• Strong understanding of Air exports regulations and documentation.
• Possessing excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills.
• Command over Microsoft Office and other related software.
