Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall software engineering or technology experience.
• 5+ years leading software development teams and complex client-facing delivery.

Responsibilities

• Drive the AI delivery practice and engineering standards for the offshore team, executing the company AI roadmap.

Position Summary

AlphaBOLD is seeking an experienced AI Expert/Practice Manager to lead the company’s AI vision and initiatives while also owning the successful delivery of multiple software development projects simultaneously. The role combines AI leadership, hands‑on technical depth, software engineering delivery, client engagement, and people leadership.
The successful candidate will be a high‑caliber, hands‑on leader who can operate independently, make sound technical and delivery decisions, and grow into broader practice leadership. This person will help clients and internal teams leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve productivity, automate business processes, enhance customers’ experience, and create measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Leadership

• Drive the AI delivery practice and engineering standards for the offshore team, executing the company AI roadmap
• Identify new AI opportunities across services and industries.
• Define AI offerings and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Build AI best practices, standards, reusable frameworks, and engineering guardrails.
• Advise leadership on emerging AI trends and business applications.
• Translate AI strategy into executable plans, delivery priorities, and measurable outcomes.

Software Engineering & Multi-Project Delivery

• Lead multiple software development projects simultaneously from initiation through production release and stabilization.
• Experienced in end‑to‑end, specification‑driven development with a hands‑on approach to AI engineering and implementation.
• Own delivery outcomes across scope, schedule, quality, technical risk, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
• Provide technical direction across architecture, engineering practices, integrations, cloud services, APIs, data, DevOps, testing, and release management.
• Establish delivery plans, estimates, milestones, resource needs, governance, and escalation paths.
• Identify delivery risks early, remove blockers, and drive timely decisions and corrective actions.
• Review solution designs and critical technical decisions while remaining hands‑on when projects require direct intervention.
• Balance AI initiatives with broader software development delivery responsibilities.

Client Consulting & Pre‑Sales

• Conduct AI and software solution discovery workshops.
• Engage executive, business, and technical stakeholders.
• Translate business challenges into practical AI and software solutions.
• Lead or support proposals, estimates, solution presentations, technical approaches, and delivery plans.
• Participate in customer demos, proof‑of‑concepts, and technical evaluations.
• Partner with sales teams to qualify opportunities, shape solutions, and set realistic delivery commitments.

AI Solution Architecture & Delivery

• Design and oversee production‑grade solutions involving AI Agents, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, chatbots, RAG, Document Intelligence, knowledge management, process automation, enterprise search, and AI‑powered analytics.
• Ensure successful project delivery from discovery and architecture through development, deployment, adoption, and value realization.
• Ensure solutions meet applicable standards for security, performance, maintainability, reliability, responsible AI, and operational support.

Internal AI Transformation

• Partner with operational leaders to identify automation opportunities and improve business productivity.
• Build AI‑enabled workflows, reusable playbooks, and internal accelerators.
• Define and measure AI adoption, delivery, productivity, and business‑impact metrics.
• Drive adoption of AI tools and solutions across the organization.

Team and Practice Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop AI engineers, software engineers, technical leads, and consultants.
• Set clear technical and delivery expectations and hold teams accountable for commitments and quality.
• Build succession, hiring, onboarding, and learning plans for the practice.
• Support recruitment and assess candidates for technical depth, delivery leadership, and growth potential.
• Create a culture of ownership, innovation, continuous learning, and high performance.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 8+ years of overall software engineering or technology experience.
• 5+ years leading software development teams and complex client‑facing delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple software development projects simultaneously and delivering measurable results.
• 3+ years of enterprise AI experience, including production deployment of AI‑enabled solutions.
• Strong background in software architecture, technical consulting, or engineering leadership.
• Experience owning project estimates, plans, risks, dependencies, stakeholder communication, and delivery outcomes.
• Experience participating in pre‑sales, discovery, solutioning, proposals, and executive client conversations.

Technical Skills

• Strong software engineering foundation across architecture, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, data, DevOps, testing, and production support.
• Hands‑on experience with several of: Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI/ChatGPT APIs, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, RAG architecture, AI Agents, prompt engineering, LangChain/Semantic Kernel, Vector databases, Machine learning concepts, Power Platform, and API integrations.
• Ability to review code, architecture, estimates, and technical delivery plans and to contribute directly when needed.
• Practical understanding of responsible AI, security, privacy, scalability, observability, and production readiness.
