Job summary

GSK is seeking an ACCA Trainee to join the Site Finance team in Karachi. You will support month-end close, reporting and accounting tasks, collaborating with finance colleagues across sites and business partners. This role offers strong development for the ACCA journey in a global biopharma context.

You will gain exposure to IFRS and internal controls while contributing to plans, budgets and process improvements, with a focus on accuracy and learning.

Qualifications

• ACCA qualification required or in progress.
• Fresh to 2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and IFRS basics.
• Comfortable with financial reporting tools and data extraction.
• Demonstrated problem solving and proactive learning.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and analysis of actual vs planned spend.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and routine management reports.
• Help maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with local regulations and internal controls.
• Support in preparing plans/budgets.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances with business partners.
• Support audit and tax requests by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and use systems to automate routine tasks.
