FDC Misamis Power Corporation is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Auxiliary Operator to assist the Water Treatment Operator in daily plant operations, valve alignment, and chemical preparations to ensure continuous water quality.
The role requires at least 1 year of experience in water treatment operations, knowledge of water chemistry, and compliance with Philippine regulations. Tasks include sampling, monitoring gauges, and coordinating maintenance with supervisors.
Water Treatment Plant Auxiliary Operator assists the Water Treatment Operator in the daily operation of the Water Treatment Plant. Duties involve aligning of valves, closing/opening of valves, observe abnormalities and relays to Water Treatment Operator and prepares chemical solution for operation. He is responsible for the overall monitoring of the Water Treatment Plant outside the DCS.
Mainly operates manually all systems in the Water Treatment Plant safely, efficiently, and properly to produce continuously good water quality.
Aligns valve positions of equipment before operation to prevent equipment damage through coordination with the Water Treatment Operator
Collects water samples in Water Treatment Plant area, and water and steam samples in Main Plant at regular interval to efficiently monitor the water quality during operation
Monitors gauges and other equipment in the field through inspection and regular checkup to guarantee correct reading and indication
Relays to Water Treatment Operator any abnormalities observed in the field through radio communication to easily correct found concerns, and to Laboratory Analyst all the status of Main Plant chemical doings
Coordinates to WTP Supervisor any operational issues and corresponding preventive maintenance of WTP equipment, troubleshoot minor problems, and report malfunctioned equipment to the immediate superior for immediate and proper action
Prepares and fill-out accurately all log sheets for chemical deliveries, chemical preparations,chemical dosing adjustments, tank levels and chemical consumptions, and reports immediatelyto WTP Supervisor all chemicals for withdrawal and delivery
Assists the maintenance personnel during repair to facilitate the task through proper coordination and cleaning of area beforehand
Facilitates chemical unloading through checklist inspection and Permit to Unload chemicals form to ensure safe unloading process is followed
Prepares chemical dosing solutions for Water Treatment Plant operations and for Main Plant Water and Steam Quality dosing adjustments
Always maintain good housekeeping & 5S practices within its area of concern and ensure compliance to ISO standard requirements
Follows Plant Safety Rules and Guidelines through always wearing of PPEs in the work area to prevent and avoid work related issues.
Coordinates with Supervisors in complying with Safety requirements before the task is done to avoid safety related issues during at work.
Participates in Safety drills and seminars to enhance Safety-related skills to provide assistance during emergency and in other cases when needed.
Participates actively in health and safety programs including audits, safety inspections, investigation of incidents, hazard identification, risk assessments and any safety improvement initiatives.
Reports immediately and taking measures proactively to reduce all workplace hazards and accidents.
Knowledge in Water chemistry and related topics
Knowledge in Water Treatment Operations and its different system
Knowledge on Philippine regulations concerning Water and Wastewater
Have basic troubleshooting skills on pump and valve abnormalities
Ability to work well with other people

EDUCATION: College Graduate or at least a graduate of any Vocational or Technological Course or NC-II Certificate
EXPERIENCE: Has at least 1 year experience in Water Treatment Plant operations
LICENSE REQUIRED: NC or Vocational Certificates
