Nezda Technologies, Inc. seeks a Scheduling Specialist to serve as subject matter expert for scheduler timekeeper coordinators, offering onboarding, development and coaching support.

Serves as a subject matter expert for scheduler timekeeper coordinators offering onboarding, development and coaching/mentoring support
Acts as an escalation point for complex questions and issues, works with the team, centralized scheduling leadership as well as department leadership.
Develops training and onboarding materials as well as internal documentation for SOPs and workflows
Creates and edits schedules for ROC supported departments in the electronic scheduling system in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Collaborate with department managers to prepare accurate daily, weekly, and shift schedules that reflect forecasted staffing needs.
Reviews, approves, or denies schedule requests (PTO, changes, preferences) based on departmental needs and established guidelines, communicating outcomes to leaders as appropriate.
Balances and publishes schedules at the conclusion of self-scheduling periods to ensure appropriate coverage and efficiency.
Assigns specialty roles based on unit-specific operational requirements and skill-mix standards.
Determines vacancy rates by role and department; posts incentive shifts in accordance with ministry policy to proactively address anticipated gaps.
Maintain department schedules within the electronic staffing system, ensuring accurate daily coverage and open shift needs to recruit additional personnel based on projected census, acuity, and budget considerations.
Prepare staffing and scheduling reports and distribute them to appropriate leaders as directed.
Reviews and maintains timecards for accuracy per policy, accounting for required hours per employment status, resolves discrepancies, approves or denies requests, and prepares timecards for manager review prior to pay period close.
Attend staffing meetings/trainings and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Assist with orientation or training on scheduling systems technology when needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Data Management, or Related Field
3 years experience with staffing, workforce & scheduling software
UKG certification preferred upon hire, required within 12 months of hire
Previous experience in a healthcare setting
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills
