Job summary

Viva International Food & Restaurants, Inc. is seeking a WOK Chef to expertly cook Chinese dishes in a Casual/Fine Dining setting. You will follow set standards, manage fresh ingredients, and ensure proper storage and inventory control.

The role requires forecasting and cost-control skills, plus the ability to forecast staffing needs and assist with payroll reports. Location at Festival Mall Alabang and SM North EDSA is expected, with long hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as WOK Chef preferred in Chinese casual dining or fine dining.
• Knowledge of forecasting, purchasing, inventory, cost control, and P&L reporting.

Responsibilities

• Cook using Chinese WOK following set standards.
• Ensure proper preparation of fresh ingredients and ingredients according to specifications.
• Follow procedures for receiving, handling and storing ingredients and raw materials.
• Assist in controlling costs of sales.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked kitchen areas; ensure equipment and exterior maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist Kitchen Manager with staffing needs.
• Perform payroll reports, inventory, and paper-work accuracy.
• Assist in scheduling employees and adhering to control procedures.
