Job summary

Nordex Finland Oy is seeking a hands-on Main Component Exchange Technician to perform exchanges on wind turbines across the Nordic region. You will work with a specialist team, replacing major components using cranes and torque tools, while ensuring safety and quality.

Expect extensive travel and on-site operations in varying outdoor conditions. The role requires mechanical/technical education, several years of wind turbine experience, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical or technical education is required.
• Several years of wind turbine experience.
• Hands-on experience with main component exchanges.
• Experience with lifting operations, cranes and tooling.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electric torque tools.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors.
• Proficient computer skills and digital tools.
• Valid EU driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support main component exchanges on wind turbines.
• Conduct lifting operations and ensure safe on-site execution.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges during exchanges.
• Prepare, maintain and improve exchange tools and equipment.
• Contribute to new procedures, tools and best practices.
• Support planning, reporting, risk assessments, and continuous improvement.
• Promote safety culture and high quality standards.
