Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Main Component Exchange Technician to join a specialist team responsible for maintaining and upgrading wind turbine components such as gearboxes, generators and main bearings. You will operate on-site across the Nordics, ensuring exchanges are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

The role requires hands-on wind turbine experience, lifting operations, and proficiency with specialist tooling.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, or technical education required.
• Several years of experience working on wind turbines.
• Hands-on experience with main component exchanges.
• Experience with lifting operations, mobile cranes, and specialist tooling.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electric torque tools.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Comfortable working at heights and in challenging outdoor environments.
• A valid EU driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site, including periods away from home.

Responsibilities

Do you thrive on hands‑on technical work, solving complex challenges, and working at height? Join Nordex's Main Component Exchange team and play a key role in some of the most critical operations performed on wind turbines across the Nordic region.

As a Main Component Exchange Technician, you'll be part of a specialist team responsible for replacing and upgrading major wind turbine components such as gearboxes, generators, and main bearings. You'll work on‑site across the Nordics, ensuring exchanges are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

YOUR TASKS

• Perform and support main component exchanges on wind turbines
• Conduct lifting operations and ensure safe execution on‑site
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during exchanges
• Prepare, maintain, and improve specialized exchange tools and equipment

YOUR PROFILE

The starting salary for this position is 3,300–4,000 EUR per month, depending on previous experience and qualifications.
