Job summary

HRTx Inc. in Batangas seeks a Welding Process Engineer to lead process development, drive quality improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives in production operations.

You will design GTAW/TIG welding processes, prepare procedures, perform root cause analysis, monitor quality, and collaborate with Production, QA, and Engineering during new product introductions while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, or Welding Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in Welding or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of GTAW (TIG Welding); exposure to brazing, laser welding, or electron beam welding is a strong advantage.
• Familiar with stainless steel materials, welding metallurgy, and joining technologies.
• Experienced in FMEA, process validation, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• PRC Licensed Engineer (ME or MetE) preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously refine welding processes (primarily GTAW/TIG) to meet quality targets, reduce cycle time, and improve cost efficiency
• Prepare and maintain welding procedures, work instructions, and all process-related documentation
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects and process deviations
• Monitor and enforce welding quality standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements
• Support qualification, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of welding equipment and systems
• Analyze process performance data and generate reports on quality metrics and process trends
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams — especially during new product introductions
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor
• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards at all times
