Private Advertiser in Santo Tomas, Batangas is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, optimize, and document welding processes, focusing on laser and arc welding for high-quality manufacturing operations.
The role requires hands-on experience, ability to set up equipment, qualify processes, support floor operators, and ensure compliance with welding codes and safety standards.

Develop, optimize, and document welding processes, with a strong focus on laser and arc welding, to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality manufacturing operations.
Develop, optimize, and document welding processes for production.
Set up, qualify, and validate welding equipment and processes.
Create and maintain welding procedures and related documentation.
Provide technical support to operators on the production floor.
Conduct welding trials and troubleshoot process-related issues.
Analyze weld defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Work closely with Production, Quality, Design, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
Ensure welding processes comply with internal specifications, applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Monitor and improve welding process quality, efficiency, throughput, and cost.
Support welding inspection, quality control, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies to resolve manufacturing issues.
Promote safe welding practices and compliance with applicable safety standards.
Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong hands‑on experience in Laser Welding and Arc Welding for manufacturing applications.
Experience with Laser Welding / High‑Powered Laser Welding is required.
Knowledge of welding inspection and quality control practices.
Ability to interpret weld symbols, engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable welding codes/standards.
Practical knowledge of metallurgy, weldability, heat‑affected zones, material behavior, and welding‑related failure modes.
Experience in manufacturing process development, equipment qualification, and validation.
Strong problem‑solving, data analysis, and root cause investigation skills.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a production/shop‑floor environment.
Familiarity with welding safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
Experience in aerospace or power generation is an advantage.
