Job summary

Lumysi, a US-based wearable tech startup, seeks a Hardware & Manufacturing Engineer to drive validation, supplier coordination, and manufacturing readiness from prototype to mass production. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware work, testing, and close collaboration with PCB manufacturers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.

Travel to international supplier and contract-manufacturer facilities is required. Experience in taking connected devices from EVT through ramp-up is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics engineering or related field.
• Hands-on hardware debugging experience.
• Experience with EVT/DVT/PVT or mass production ramp-up.
• Strong supplier coordination and documentation skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Review schematics, PCB designs, BOMs, and component specs.
• Support PCB bring-up, prototype assembly, and hardware debugging.
• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, sensor, battery, and connectivity issues.
• Develop and execute hardware validation plans and testing procedures.
• Coordinate EVT, DVT, PVT, pilot production, and mass production activities.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware issues.
• Maintain engineering docs, BOMs, specs, test plans, and change records.
