Operations is responsible for supporting the various trading, investment and reporting activities of the firm.
The core mission of the Operations group is to establish scalable investment workflows, ensure a controlled operating environment and deliver high‑quality client service to both internal and external business relationships. In addition to supporting primary investment related activities, the groups assist in the design and implementation of firm‑wide projects, operational due diligence, counterparty management and client‑related activities.
RFP Team is part of the Shared Services department. RFP is responsible for interacting and coordinating within areas of the firm to actively address RFP, DDQ and RFI requests and complete all corresponding documentation.
The Shared Services department acts as an intermediary across all teams within the firm, fielding a myriad of questions and inquiries. In addition to being the liaison between internal groups, the shared services team delivers high‑quality client service to external business relationships.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Associate is to prepare and complete client questionnaires and other deliverables on a quarterly, semi‑annual and annual basis with the highest level of accuracy and within a predetermined time set forth in the work allocation.
- Prepare reports for clients and/or validate the accuracy of data for the clients.
- Properly communicate with information suppliers to gather requirements for reporting and deliverables.
- Ensure that assigned questionnaires are prepared and completed in conjunction to its reviewer schedule.
- Plan for, monitor, and ensure completion of processes and deliverables in each workflow including emails.
- All members should be aware of the standard procedure of a proper hand‑off, both offshore and onshore.
- Participate in team initiatives including process reviews, maintenance of process documentation, and relevant process improvement projects.
- Any related process as required by the team.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies and operations, and asset management structures.
- Ability to differentiate among product offerings and tailor messaging accordingly.
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
- Able to operate within a collaborative and team‑oriented culture, as well as independently.
- Well organized, detail oriented; able to multi‑task and keep track of various deadlines.
- Excellent command of the English language – decoding, fluency, vocabulary, sentence construction and cohesion, reasoning, working memory and attention.
- Effective stakeholder management and SME coordination.
- Committed to intellectual curiosity and integrity, with a high degree of ethics.
- Good grasp of basic to intermediate functions in MS Office applications.
Education and Experience
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Financial Management, Economics, Accounting, Communications, Legal, or other related business course.
- Writing and industry‑related experience is an advantage.
- The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of how an investment management firm operates.
- Experience working with primary asset classes and financial products (equities, fixed‑income and derivatives such as futures, forwards, etc.) is preferred.
