Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Analyst to manage daily review of accounts, perform data checks, and update reports. You will coordinate with offshore/onshore teams, ensure SLA compliance, and participate in process improvements while supporting the team during absences.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 1–3 years in finance, and comfort with a dynamic, team-based environment. Midshift to night shift availability is preferred.

Job description

The Role

• Prepare, review, and complete assigned processes and deliverables with the highest level of accuracy, within the predetermined time in the work allocation, ensuring all related sub-processes are completed accurately
• Ensure assigned deliverables are prepared and completed in conjunction with the reviewer's schedule
• Plan daily workload to identify issues and delays that may cause interruptions in the completion of deliverables
• Monitor completion of processes and deliverables in each process workflow
• Perform the standard procedure of a proper hand off, both offshore and onshore
• Properly communicate with onshore counterparts, custodians, brokers, administrators, and regulatory agencies to query, escal, and resolve issues on assigned processes and deliverables
• Actively manage daily emails and take action as needed in accordance with team guidelines
• Ensure completeness of process documentation
• Identify potential initiatives and process improvements
• Support the team by acting as back up in the absence of team member/s
• Participate in team initiatives/engagements whenever needed
• Any related process as required by both onshore and offshore teams

Core Duties and Responsibilities — Operational and Data Checks

• Daily review of all active/pipeline accounts
• Monitoring of various dashboards and reports
• Provide updates on designated checks
• Perform various data checks as requested
• Update different reports on a periodical basis
• Conduct checks related to onboarding/analysis requests

The Requirements

• Must be proactive, motivated, detail-oriented, a team player and knows how to work with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and metrics.
• Possess excellent communication (oral and written) and client service skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel (Command of pivot, lookups, logical statements)
• Can work with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality output.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Understanding of various financial instruments e.g., stocks, bonds, money market, etc. and/or investment funds e.g., Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Separately Managed Accounts, etc.
• Experienced in any stage of the trading or account lifecycle (Fund Accounting, Pre and Post Trade Activities, Client Service, etc.)
• 1– 3 years background in the financial industry is preferred.
• Amenable to work from Midshift to Night Shift.
• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing, team-based work environment

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Financial Management, Banking & Finance, Business Management or other related courses
