Job summary

Coherent II-VI Performance Metals Inc, located in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines, seeks a dedicated Wastewater/Water Treatment Operator to support manufacturing operations by managing wastewater sources and ensuring timely production.

You will assist in water treatment operations, maintain accurate data documentation, monitor chemical usage, and ensure equipment functions while upholding a clean, safe work environment in line with EHS policies.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational course graduate or college level (or relevant experience) preferred.
• Experience in wastewater treatment or chemical manufacturing is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate in Filipino and English.
• On-site role in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The department’s primary role is to support manufacturing operations by managing wastewater from multiple sources to prevent production delays. It oversees water treatment operations by implementing approved procedures, ensuring accurate documentation, and monitoring chemical usage and cycle times. The department also ensures proper equipment operation by promptly reporting defects to avoid downtime, while maintaining a clean, safe work environment in compliance with company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.

Job Qualifications

• Manufacturing Support: The primary objective of the department is to accommodate wastewater from different sources to avoid any delays in manufacturing operations.
• Water Treatment Operations: Supports the Supervisor of the department in the over-all supervision of the WTP department. Implements the approved wastewater treatment procedures, ensure completeness of filling out data sheets, monitors chemical consumption and cycle time.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensures proper operation of equipment in the work area and immediately report defects for proper action and to avoid delays due to in-operable equipment.
• Environment, Health and Safety: Helps maintain clean and safe department and for compliance with the company’s EHS rules, procedures and regulations.

Education & Experience

High school or Vocational Course graduate or College level. (or relevant experience) preferred.

Working Conditions

This role is 100% onsite
Working conditions are normal for a chemical manufacturing environment.
Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 kg.
Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment and personnel protection equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes/boots and hardhats.
Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted to be worn.
