Job summary

UNICEF Philippines is seeking qualified WASH emergency coordination professionals to join a pre-qualified roster for surge support during humanitarian emergencies across the country. Personnel will support coordination with government counterparts, humanitarian partners, and communities, and may assist in preparedness, response, assessments, information management, and advocacy.

The roster is valid for 30 months and consultants are contracted on an as-needed basis with opportunities contingent

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Civil Engineering, Water & Sanitation, or related field.
At least two years in humanitarian emergency preparedness and response.
Experience with WASH sector and humanitarian coordination.

Responsibilities

Support national and sub-national WASH Cluster/Sector coordination mechanisms.
Facilitate coordination among government, NGOs, UN agencies, and partners.
Support emergency needs assessments, analysis and planning.
Maintain partner mapping and information management processes.
Contribute to development of emergency response strategies and funding proposals.
Promote adherence to humanitarian principles and gender equality.
