• Record movements in digital and manual logs; perform regular cycle counts for high-value parts.

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Parts Custodian is responsible for the systematic handling, storage, and issuance of technical spare parts ("pyesa"), hardware, and tools. This role requires the technical knowledge to identify specific components, verify their specifications, and ensure the engineering or production teams receive the exact parts needed for repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Receiving & Inspection

• Receive incoming shipments of hardware, machine parts, and tools.
• Verify specifications: Ensure that the "pyesa" received matches the Purchase Order (PO) and technical descriptions (e.g., checking bolt grades, motor specs, or valve types).
• Conduct visual quality checks for defects or signs of wear in used/refurbished parts.

2. Specialized Inventory Management

• Organize the "Parts Room" or hardware section using a logical system (e.g., by size, type, or machine compatibility).
• Maintain an accurate digital and manual log of all hardware movements.
• Conduct regular cycle counts specifically for high-value or critical "fast-moving" pyesa to prevent stockouts during machine breakdowns.

3. Issuance & Technical Support

• Review Requisition Slips from the Engineering or Production departments.
• Identify and issue the correct hardware components based on technical descriptions provided by technicians.
• Maintain the Tools Library, ensuring that shared hardware tools are returned in good working condition.

4. Housekeeping & Safety

• Ensure the hardware section is free from rust, dust, and moisture that could damage sensitive metal parts.
• Apply proper labeling and "binning" for thousands of small items like washers, nuts, and specialized screws.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Knowledge - Familiarity with hardware terminology (e.g., diameters, thread types, electrical ratings, pneumatic fittings).
• Education - High School Graduate or Vocational Diploma
• Attention to Detail - High level of precision in recording part numbers (SKUs) and quantities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy hardware components.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may be loud or involve reaching/climbing to access high-shelf bins.
