ITAL DESIGN FURNITURE DEPOT is seeking a Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, safety, and proper functioning of warehouse facilities and equipment. The Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, safety, and proper functioning of the warehouse facility, equipment, utilities, and physical infrastructure. The position ensures that the warehouse remains safe, operational, organized, and compliant with company standards and applicable safety requirements.
The role requires strong technical knowledge and hands‑on supervision of maintenance activities, contractors, equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, building facilities, and general warehouse infrastructure.
1. Warehouse Facility Maintenance
Supervise the overall maintenance and upkeep of warehouse facilities, including building structures, roofing, flooring, walls, ceilings, doors, loading areas, and storage areas.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and potential equipment failures.
Develop preventive maintenance schedules for warehouse facilities and equipment.
Ensure that maintenance concerns are addressed promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
Maintain proper documentation of repairs, inspections, maintenance activities, and facility conditions.
2. Electrical & Utility Systems
Monitor the condition and proper operation of electrical systems, lighting, power outlets, panels, wiring, and other electrical facilities.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical systems.
Monitor water supply, plumbing, drainage, ventilation, and other utility systems.
Ensure electrical and utility-related concerns are properly assessed and addressed by qualified personnel.
Coordinate with accredited electricians, engineers, and contractors for specialized repairs.
3. Building & Civil Works
Inspect warehouse structures and identify concerns involving flooring, walls, ceilings, roofing, drainage, loading bays, and other civil works.
Supervise minor construction, repair, renovation, and improvement projects.
Review work quality and ensure that repairs and construction activities meet company standards.
Coordinate with contractors for major structural repairs and improvement projects.
Recommend facility improvements to improve warehouse efficiency and safety.
4. Equipment & Material Handling Maintenance
Monitor the condition and maintenance of warehouse equipment such as pallet racks, trolleys, forklifts, hand trucks, conveyors, dock equipment, and other material‑handling equipment.
Establish preventive maintenance schedules for applicable equipment.
Coordinate equipment repairs with authorized service providers.
Monitor equipment breakdowns and recommend corrective measures.
Maintain records of equipment maintenance and repair history.
5. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for the warehouse.
Prioritize corrective maintenance based on safety, operational impact, and urgency.
Monitor completion of maintenance work orders.
Identify recurring problems and recommend permanent solutions.
Maintain an inventory of commonly required maintenance materials, tools, and spare parts.
6. Safety & Compliance
Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential safety hazards.
Ensure that electrical, structural, fire protection, and other facility‑related safety requirements are properly maintained.
Coordinate with the Safety Officer and Operations Team regarding safety concerns.
Ensure emergency exits, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and other safety facilities remain accessible and functional.
Immediately report critical safety and structural concerns to management.
Ensure contractors and maintenance personnel follow company safety policies while working inside the warehouse.
7. Contractor & Service Provider Management
Coordinate with external contractors, electricians, plumbers, technicians, engineers, and maintenance service providers.
Obtain and evaluate quotations for repair and maintenance requirements.
Monitor contractor performance, work quality, and completion schedules.
Verify completed work before recommending acceptance or payment.
Maintain records of contractors, service providers, warranties, and maintenance agreements.
8. Maintenance Budget & Cost Control
Prepare estimates and budget requirements for maintenance and repair activities.
Monitor maintenance expenses and ensure proper utilization of the maintenance budget.
Recommend cost‑effective repair and maintenance solutions.
Prevent unnecessary expenses through proper preventive maintenance.
Monitor usage of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.
9. Team Supervision
Supervise maintenance personnel, technicians, utility workers, and other assigned staff.
Assign daily maintenance activities and monitor work completion.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to maintenance personnel.
Monitor attendance, productivity, work quality, and compliance with company policies.
Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings when necessary.
10. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
Maintain records of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Prepare incident and breakdown reports when necessary.
Monitor maintenance costs, equipment downtime, and recurring facility issues.
Submit recommendations to management for major repairs, replacements, and facility improvements..
At least 2–5 years of experience in facility maintenance, warehouse maintenance, building maintenance, engineering, or related operations.
Experience in retail, warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or commercial facilities is highly preferred.
Experience supervising maintenance personnel and contractors is an advantage.
