JOB OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all warehouse facilities, equipment, utilities, and material handling systems. The role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, monitors warehouse infrastructure, and ensures compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements to support continuous warehouse operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Maintenance Operations
- Plan, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs for warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, dock levelers, generators, compressors, and air-conditioning systems are properly maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and utilities.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and coordinate immediate corrective actions to minimize operational downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacement when necessary.
II. Facilities Management
- Ensure warehouse buildings, storage areas, offices, and common areas are maintained in good operating condition.
- Coordinate with contractors and/or service providers for specialized maintenance work if necessary, along with the project proposal.
- Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance standards within the warehouse premises.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), company safety policies, and engineering regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Ensure all maintenance works are performed safely and with proper permits.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, calibration, and compliance documentation.
- Support warehouse audits and government inspections.
III. Project and Improvement Management
- Participate in warehouse improvement projects, facility expansion, and equipment installation.
- Recommend process improvements to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Assist in budget preparation for maintenance activities and capital expenditures.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical maintenance materials.
Team Coordination
- Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and contracted personnel when applicable.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with warehouse operations to minimize disruptions.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Licensed Engineer is preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in warehouse maintenance, facilities engineering, or industrial maintenance.
- Experience in warehouse operations, cold storage, agriculture, logistics, or distribution industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge in preventive maintenance systems, building maintenance, electrical systems, HVAC, and material handling equipment.
- Proficient in MS Office and maintenance monitoring systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

WORK SET-UP
Monday to Saturday
Onsite and Field work as required by the operation
