Job summary

Virginia Food, Inc (VFI) is seeking a seasoned Logistics Manager to oversee regional supply chain efficiency in Cebu, Philippines. The role focuses on optimizing HR planning, process improvements, and real-time system control to deliver reliable service.

You will lead dispersed teams, ensure ISO compliance, and manage freight contracts while driving cost efficiency and operational excellence across multiple depots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Business Administration, or related business course.
• 3–5 years of related work experience preferred.
• Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) with ERP data tracking across depots.
• Experience drafting SLAs and negotiating freight contracts with 3PL providers; familiarity with QBRs.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, manage inventory turns, and optimize stock levels.
• Understanding regulatory compliance and cold chain for food/perishables.
• Proven leadership to manage dispersed teams of supervisors, coordinators and dispatchers.
• Experience reducing OpEx via lean principles and route optimization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the effective and efficient logistics process of supply chain management across the assigned regional area. Key performance pillars include:

• HR Planning & Development: Fosters value-laden decision-making and optimal human resource utilization to maintain a balanced work environment. Develops, coaches, and empowers team members top build capability and drive performance.
• Process Improvement: Creates, implements, and optimizes simplified, swift, and accurate processing and documentation across the area.
• System Implementation & Control: Ensures accurate, real-time execution and control of logistical systems and strategic projects.
• Goal Setting & Problem Solving: Establishes practical operational goals and navigates bottlenecks using strategic and tactical planning.
• Customer Service & Relationship Management: Maintains end-to-end client relationships to achieve excellent service experience metrics.
• ISO Compliance: Ensures adherence to ISO Standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies to maintain operational excellence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Has at least a Bachelor's degree in: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Business Administration (preferred); or any business related course
• At least 3 to 5 years of related work experience (preferred)
• Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Enterprise resource planning software to track data in real time across multiple depots.
• With a track record in negotiating freight rates, drafting service level agreements (SLAs), and managing contract compliance with third-party transport providers. Experience conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to evaluate carrier efficiency and control freight costs.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, calculate inventory turns, manage safety stock levels, and prevent warehouse congestion. Collaborating closely with Sales and Production teams to align historical data and regional market demand with warehouse capacity.
• Has a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, workplace safety standards, and industry-specific protocols (such as cold chain management for food/perishables or regulatory compliance for specialized goods).
• Proven leadership ability to manage, train, and maintain high morale among scattered teams of supervisors, coordinators, and dispatchers.
• Experience managing logistics budgets and optimizing operational expenses (OpEx). The ability to implement lean principles (such as Six Sigma) to eliminate waste, optimize delivery routes, and improve the overall bottom line without sacrificing customer service quality.
