The Vice President for Supply Chain provides strategic leadership and overall direction for the organization’s end-to-end supply chain operations. This executive is responsible for optimizing procurement, planning, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, and supplier relationships to ensure reliable product availability, cost efficiency, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.
The role partners closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with the organization’s financial, commercial, and operational objectives.
Develop and execute the company’s overall supply chain strategy in support of business growth and long-term objectives.
Provide executive leadership across procurement, sourcing, demand and supply planning, logistics, warehousing, inventory, distribution, and supply chain operations.
Establish strategies to optimize total supply chain cost while maintaining quality, service levels, and business continuity.
Lead strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives, including supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance improvement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, logistics providers, and strategic business partners.
Develop robust demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, and replenishment processes.
Ensure appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution, and order fulfillment to achieve high service levels and operational efficiency.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supply disruptions, supplier concentration, geopolitical risks, capacity constraints, and logistics challenges.
Establish business continuity and contingency plans for critical supply chain activities.
Drive supply chain digitalization, automation, analytics, and the effective use of technology to improve visibility and decision-making.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) covering cost, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, supplier performance, and customer service.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
Develop organizational structures, talent strategies, succession plans, and capability-building programs for the supply chain organization.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and other functions to align supply and demand.
Prepare and manage the supply chain budget and ensure effective allocation of resources.
Provide regular executive-level reports, insights, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management.
Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, operations, logistics, or related functions.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or executive supply chain role.
Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-site, regional, or international supply chains.
Strong background in strategic sourcing, procurement, planning, logistics, inventory, and supplier management.
Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in cost, service, working capital, and operational performance.
Experience leading large teams and developing high-performing organizations.
Strong financial, analytical, negotiation, and business acumen.
Experience with ERP, supply chain planning, procurement, warehouse management, and analytics systems.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to translate strategy into effective execution.
