Job summary

Synchrony seeks a VP, CoreTech Governance & Risk to drive enterprise-wide governance and risk activities. You will lead issue remediation, support audits, manage policy lifecycles, and oversee risk acceptance and exceptions.

The role partners with Technology, Audit, Compliance and business stakeholders to mitigate risk across global tech infrastructure. The incumbent will deliver auditable documentation, enforce regulatory requirements, and report metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 10+ years in 1LOD governance and risk.
• Strong knowledge of IT controls and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing governance and risk programs in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to coordinate with technology, audit and risk stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and risk activities for CoreTech governance & risk program.
• Ensure timely issue remediation and evidence for audits/regulators.
• Oversee policy lifecycle, risk acceptance, and exceptions.
• Develop metrics and reporting for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with technology, audit, risk and business teams.
