Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in operational risk or technology risk roles.
• Strong understanding of technology components such as servers, storage, databases, networking, SDLC, AI/ML, and cloud.
• Experience with monitoring and testing of controls across technology failure domains.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of risk management processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, FFIEC, COBIT, CSA CCM, ISO 27001.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery-focused environment.
• Project management and teamwork experience is a plus.
• Relevant certifications like CISA or CISM are desirable.
• Familiarity with enterprise risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify, monitor, and analyze operational risks arising from technology operations related to SDLC, resilience, networks, and cloud.
• Develop evidence-based challenges to improve operations and strengthen risk controls.
• Analyze operational risk loss data, near-miss events, and external events to inform assessments and scenario analysis.
• Prepare and present risk insights to senior management and control owners.
• Conduct scenario analyses for potential tail risks involving unauthorized access and data exposure.
• Coordinate data collection for operational risk events and perform trend reviews.
• Review changes and new activities to ensure risk considerations are addressed.
• Contribute to technology failure control assessments and evidence for risk narratives.
• Stay updated on regulatory and industry changes affecting information security obligations.
• Identify and drive initiatives to improve firm-wide risk management activities.
