Job summary

NEODIX is seeking a Virtual Medical Receptionist to work with USA-based optometry professionals. You will streamline front-desk tasks, handle scheduling, emails, and patient records from a remote setup.

You must know Eyefinity EHR, manage vision insurance plans (Spectera, VSP, EyeMed), and handle 30+ daily calls. Night shifts (9pm–6am US EST) are required, with strong English and medical terminology proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge for Eyefinity EHR system.
• Able to handle various vision insurance plans such as Spectera, VSP, EyeMed.
• Able to handle inbound calls via Weave (30+ calls per day).
• Provide proof of education or training (degree or certificate; nursing/medical transcription/optometry preferred).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficient with medical terminology for optometry.
• Proficient with Electronic Medical Records.
• Strong typing and data entry skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work night shift 9pm–6am (US EST).
• Submit an NBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients virtually at reception, answer phones, schedule appointments.

• Prepare patients for office visits.
• Collect and verify patient insurance benefits.

• Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
• Manage patient follow-up care, coordinating with optometrists and scheduling necessary appointments.
• Provide prompt responses to patient inquiries, offering medical advice within the scope of practice.

About the role

As a Virtual Medical Receptionist, you will work directly with clients - doctors (Optometry) and other medical professionals based in the USA. You will help clients improve workflow, save time, and remove the burden of in-room documentation. A Virtual Medical Receptionist can also help with back-office and administrative tasks.

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to work at night i.e 9pm-6am (9am - 6pm US EST time)
