Merck Group is seeking a Vendor Master Data Specialist to support complex vendor data transactions and uphold data integrity across ERP systems. You’ll collaborate with Buy & Pay teams to cleanse, convert, and manage supplier data, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

The role emphasizes cross-functional coordination, data analytics, and process improvements within a shared services or SSC context, with a focus on SAP/Ariba environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of vendor master data experience and knowledge.
• Experience in shared services or BPO environments is a plus.
• Strong understanding of ERP data structures and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Verify transactions and attachments for policy compliance.
• Respond to low to medium complexity requests and queries.
• Monitor and resolve outstanding supplier accounts for timely payments.
• Perform vendor reconciliation and resolution.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather information and respond to queries.
• Inquire into data accuracy and evaluate supplied data.
• Work with customers, suppliers, and vendor master data objects.
• Manage data analytics and reporting; understand reporting tools.
• Solve complex problems with analytical thinking and judgement.
• Participate in special tasks and process improvements.
