Job summary

Merck Group is seeking a Vendor Master Data Specialist who handles complex day-to-day vendor data transactions, upholds data standards, and collaborates with Buy & Pay teams to ensure accuracy and integrity across systems.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years in vendor master data, strong SAP and Ariba experience, and the ability to analyze data, resolve issues, and drive data cleansing and process improvements across functions.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred; substantial vendor master data experience required.
• At least 6 years in vendor master data, preferably in SSC/BPO.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, Ariba and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Verify transactions and attachments for policy compliance.
• Respond to low to medium complexity requests promptly.
• Monitor supplier accounts to keep payments up to date.
• Perform vendor reconciliation and resolution.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather information.
• Analyze data accuracy and promote data cleansing.
• Manage data analytics and reporting.
• Support data issues with root-cause analysis.
• Participate in process improvements and special projects.
