Job summary

AMCS Group is seeking a Software Support Engineer – Vehicle Technology in Cebu City, part of a global support team. You will troubleshoot in-cab hardware, tablets, cameras, sensors, and Android apps, while assisting customers and coordinating with hardware partners.

The role requires analytical thinking, log analysis, and strong communication to resolve incidents and improve product experiences across regions.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, computing, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English for stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with logs and diagnostic data analysis.
• Hands-on hardware, devices, and peripherals troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying Android APKs on devices.
• Knowledge of servers and networking (Windows/Linux).
• Basic SQL to run simple queries.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases per service standards, targets, and procedures.
• Engage with customers to gather information for incidents.
• Troubleshoot hardware and in-cab devices, arrange repair or replacement.
• Deploy and troubleshoot Android apps on customer devices using Mobi.
• Use Mobi to remotely connect and troubleshoot devices.
• Monitor servers and services behind vehicle tech solutions.
• Analyze operations to identify hardware or config faults.
• Use logs and AI tools to aid root-cause analysis.
• Maintain detailed case records and resolutions.
• Explain findings to customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Product/Dev/Implementation/Hardware teams.
• Validate resolved issues when appropriate.
