Job summary

Marquee is seeking a US Staff Accountant to support a US-based client from the Philippines. You will maintain general ledger, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation.

You will work closely with the client’s accounting leadership, handle daily accounting operations, and ensure accurate, timely reporting during the Philippine night shift. This role is fully remote within the Philippines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on support for US businesses or US accounting firms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end processes.
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliation schedules; ability to learn accounting software.
• Clear written and spoken English; able to communicate with US colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger records for assigned entities or locations with accurate coding and support.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules, including accruals and prepayments.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transaction reviews within the scope.
• Complete month-end close tasks within the calendar and maintain organized working papers.
• Prepare draft financial statements and supporting schedules for review by leadership.
