Job summary

World Vision is seeking a Project Officer in Cebu to implement the Urban Development Project. The role focuses on education, health and nutrition, and child protection, working with local partners under a fixed-term contract through September 2027.

The position requires collaboration with government and community stakeholders and involves monitoring, reporting, and capacity-building activities across multiple sectors to improve child wellbeing in the area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in social sciences or related field.
  • 2+ years of NGO programme/project implementation experience.
  • Trained in LEAP 3 and DPA, or related community organizing training.
  • Experience with Local Government Units, agencies, churches, and other organizations.
  • Experience facilitating activities for children.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of advocacy and child rights; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and coordinate primary implementing partners and sign partnership agreements.
  • Prepare annual implementation plans and monitor progress against targets and budgets.
  • Collaborate with government partners and BCPC to address child wellbeing issues.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, semi-annual and annual reports using standard tools/templates.
  • Coordinate training of local agencies and partners to build capacity.
  • Engage churches and faith-based groups to integrate spiritual nurture activities.
