Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks a skilled Line Cook to join the shipboard kitchen operations. You will prepare all basic items, read and follow company recipes, and work flexibly in any kitchen section to meet menu demands.

You must have culinary school training, at least 4 years in upscale food service, and strong leadership and communication skills to thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced environment aboard a cruise ship.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or banqueting service; shipboard preferred
• Culinary school degree required
• Strong leadership in multicultural environment
• Excellent communication, problem solving and people skills
• Customer service focus and teamwork
• Proficient in planning, organizing, staffing and evaluating

Responsibilities

• Prepare all basic food items for the menu requested by supervisor
• Must possess advanced knife handling skills
• Able to work in any kitchen section
• Know and follow culinary terms and company recipes
• Follow health standards and inspections by various authorities
• Maintain prep area for health inspections (USPH/inspections)
• Adhere to supervisor instructions and dress code
