Job summary

Lennor Group in Makati City is seeking an experienced Non-life Insurance Underwriter to assess risks and place coverage for corporate clients. The role centers on Property Insurance, developing market submissions, and negotiating terms with insurers.

You will work with Account Executives, clients, and markets to ensure accurate risk evaluation, optimal terms, and renewal strategies. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of underwriting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in non-life underwriting, broking, or placement.
• Strong experience in Property and Engineering insurance.
• Experience handling corporate, complex, high-value, or non-standard risks.
• Experience in insurer negotiation, market placement, and preparation of underwriting submissions.
• PIRA certification or other relevant insurance qualifications is an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of non-life insurance and underwriting principles.
• Excellent risk analysis, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of corporate insurance requirements and market practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite non-life risks across lines including Property and Engineering.
• Analyze submissions, risk surveys, technical reports, claims history, and other information to evaluate exposures.
• Prepare underwriting submissions and negotiate terms with insurers.
• Develop placement strategies for complex or non-standard risks, including co-insurance and facultative arrangements where appropriate.
• Monitor portfolio performance and renewal management, reviewing outcomes and pricing.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Sales, Claims, Compliance, and other internal teams to ensure effective client servicing.
