Job summary

The Laus Group of Companies in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Head of Underwriting to lead and optimize underwriting operations, policies, and strategy. You will oversee risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio profitability, and manage exposure through treaty and facultative reinsurance.

Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to internal controls, using data analytics to inform decisions, staying current with market trends, and mentoring underwriting staff to sustain high

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four year course.
• Extensive underwriting experience (at least 8 years of experience in Non Life insurance preferred).
• Deep knowledge of underwriting principles, reinsurance, risk analysis, and insurance accounting.
• Strong leadership, communication (written/verbal), problem‑solving, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.
• Knowledgeable on all insurance lines, technical know how on underwriting skills, negotiation, analytical and investigative skills.
• Willing to be assigned in San Fernando, Pampanga.
