General Insurance Underwriter Sub-lead role at MoneeInsure Philippines leads and oversees day-to-day underwriting for GI and Life, ensuring timely, accurate evaluations aligned with underwriting philosophy, risk appetite, and service standards in Metro Manila.

It provides technical guidance to junior underwriters, handles complex and high-value cases, and drives process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree / 4-Year Course Graduate
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in insurance underwriting
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a senior, supervisory, team lead, or technical leadership capacity is preferred
• Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, policy terms and conditions, pricing considerations, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and underwriting controls
• Good understanding of Philippine insurance regulations, compliance requirements, and underwriting governance
• Completed Intermediate and Advanced Insurance Courses from the Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific
• Holding a valid Certificate of Registration as a Non-Life Company Underwriter issued by the Insurance Commission is preferred

• Lead Underwriting Operations: Oversee day-to-day underwriting operations, ensure timely, accurate processing per guidelines and SLAs.
• Provide Technical Underwriting Leadership: Review complex referrals and non-standard risks within delegated authority.
• Drive Process, Systems, and Product Improvements: Identify and implement improvements, maintain SOPs and rules, coordinate testing.
• Ensure Operational Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, regulatory requirements, and audits.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Stakeholders: Partner with Product, Commercial, Operations and other units on implementations.
• Develop Team Capability: Provide mentorship to junior underwriters and promote continuous professional development.
