Acquire Intelligence, a global outsourcing leader in contact center and back-office services, invites you to join a team focused on shaping lending outcomes. As an Underwriter, you will assess loan eligibility, verify documents, and liaise with customers and onshore teams to gather information.

You will apply underwriting guidelines, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulations while staying ahead of market trends and risks.

Responsibilities

• Processing customer loan application forms and documents to determine eligibility.
• Liaise with customers by phone and email regarding the status of their application and for additional information required.
• Liaise with the onshore team for information and documents related to the loan application.
• Understanding all the business products.
• Updating account information and maintaining customer records.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analyze and verify loan applications, financial statements, credit reports, and other supporting documentation to assess creditworthiness and risk.
• Evaluate applicant's financial capacity, collateral, and repayment ability in accordance with established underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with loan applications, escalating complex cases as needed to senior management.
• Communicate effectively with loan officers, borrowers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant lending regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices
• Prepare detailed underwriting reports and recommendations for approval or denial of loan applications.
• Maintain accurate and organized loan files and documentation throughout the underwriting process.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and procedures.
• Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors impacting the lending industry.
