Job summary

Discovery Capital Finance Corp. is seeking a Head of Credit to lead a team of Credit Evaluators and Credit Investigators, driving end-to-end loan processing with rigorous risk standards.

You will oversee SLA adherence, conduct audits, and ensure accurate underwriting for unsecured and real estate mortgage loans while collaborating with legal and appraisal teams to secure proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Broad leadership experience in credit evaluation/ investigation teams.
• Strong analytical skills for complex financial statements and risk assessment.
• Experience maintaining SLA targets and process improvements in lending.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Credit Evaluators (CEs) and Credit Investigators (CIs).
• Establish daily workflow targets and monitor application pipelines with strict SLA adherence.
• Conduct quality audits of credit investigation reports and evaluation sheets.
• Assess risk parameters for unsecured loans and income stability.
• Review and approve loan applications within credit authority limits (clean and REM).
• Analyze financials, capacity-to-pay models, and risk for higher-ticket loans.
• Verify title authenticity, encumbrance checks, and collateral viability with CIs for REM.
• Identify fraud patterns and bottlenecks; implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with legal and appraisal teams for sound loan documentation.
• Generate weekly/monthly credit quality and delinquency metrics for leadership.
