Job summary

Acquire Intelligence in Manila is seeking an underwriting professional to review loan applications, analyze financial statements, and assess credit risk. You will liaise with customers by phone and email, coordinate with the onshore team, and ensure documentation meets underwriting guidelines.

The role emphasizes accurate reporting, compliance with lending regulations, and collaboration with loan officers to drive sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Process loan application forms and documents to determine eligibility.
• Liaise with customers by phone and email regarding application status.
• Liaise with onshore team for related information and documents.
• Understand all business loan products.
• Update account information and maintain customer records.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication.
• Analyze and verify loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to assess creditworthiness and risk.
• Evaluate applicant's financial capacity, collateral, and repayment ability per guidelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks, escalating complex cases to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare underwriting reports and recommendations for approval/denial.
• Maintain organized loan files and documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and stay updated on market trends.

• Evaluate applicant's financial capacity, collateral, and repayment ability in accordance with established underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with loan applications, escalating complex cases as needed to senior management.
• Communicate effective with loan officers, borrowers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant lending regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices
• Prepare detailed underwriting reports and recommendations for approval or denial of loan applications.
• Maintain accurate and organized loan files and documentation throughout the underwriting process.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and procedures.
• Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors impacting the lending industry.
