Job summary

Freedive Academy Panglao seeks a skilled Underwater Content Creator to join our full-time team in Panglao, Bohol. You will shoot and edit underwater photos and videos, create reels, and deliver social-ready content for our brands.

Flexibility to work on location, with strong emphasis on safety, storytelling, and ocean environments. Training will be provided to enhance in-house freediving skills and content production capabilities.

Qualifications

• Previous freediving experience is required.
• Extremely comfortable working in open-water environments.
• Strong swimming ability and good overall water skills.
• Experience creating photography and video content.
• Experience with underwater photography or videography is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of camera operation, composition, lighting, and storytelling.
• Ability to shoot for vertical and short-form social media formats.

Job Overview

Apnea Dynamics is looking for a creative and highly capable Underwater Content Creator to join our content team full-time in Panglao, Bohol.

This is a hands-on content production role focused on creating engaging underwater photography, video, Reels, and other visual content for Freedive Academy Panglao, Go Deep Freediving, Panglao Watersport & Tours, and other Apnea Dynamics projects.

You will spend a significant amount of time in the ocean capturing freedivers, students, instructors, tours, marine environments, and the experiences surrounding our brands. Your work will be used across social media, websites, advertising, campaigns, and other digital channels.

This is not purely a photography position. We are looking for a content creator who can identify interesting moments, understand what makes social content engaging, shoot with the final piece in mind, and turn raw footage into finished photos and videos.

A major focus of the position will be producing a consistent stream of high-quality short-form content, particularly Reels, alongside photography and other video content.

Freediving experience is essential. Professional freediving certifications are not required, as the Freedive Academy team will provide additional freediving and safety training. However, you must already be a confident freediver and extremely comfortable working in the ocean.

Responsibilities

• Create underwater photography, video, Reels, and other visual content for Apnea Dynamics brands
• Regularly capture content during freediving courses, training sessions, tours, events, and dedicated content shoots
• Produce engaging short-form content for Instagram, Facebook, and other social platforms
• Photograph and film freedivers, students, instructors, guests, marine environments, and tourism activities
• Identify spontaneous content opportunities during day-to-day operations
• Plan shoots and content with the final social media or marketing output in mind
• Edit photos and video footage into polished, publication-ready content
• Select strong footage and images efficiently from larger shoots
• Apply color correction and basic post-production to underwater photography and video
• Create content that communicates the experience, personality, atmosphere, and lifestyle behind our brands
• Work closely with the wider content and marketing team on campaigns, content calendars, and creative concepts
• Capture supporting above-water content when required
• Follow current social media trends while adapting them appropriately to our brands
• Organize, label, back up, and maintain photo and video libraries
• Maintain and care for underwater cameras, housings, lighting, and related equipment
• Follow company freediving and underwater safety procedures during all shoots
• Represent Apnea Dynamics and its brands professionally at all times

Requirements

• Previous freediving experience is required
• Extremely comfortable and confident working in open-water and ocean environments
• Strong swimming ability and good overall water skills
• Experience creating photography and video content
• Experience with underwater photography or videography is strongly preferred
• Good understanding of camera operation, composition, lighting, movement, and visual storytelling
• Ability to shoot specifically for vertical and short-form social media formats
• Understanding of what makes engaging Reels and social media content
• Experience editing photography and video using tools such as Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
• Creative mindset with the ability to recognize interesting stories and content opportunities
• Comfortable both executing planned shoots and capturing spontaneous moments
• Ability to work creatively while maintaining excellent underwater safety awareness
• Physically comfortable spending significant time swimming, freediving, and working outdoors
• Strong organizational and media file-management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider content team, instructors, guides, and operations staff
• Good English communication skills
• Portfolio or examples of previous photography and video content are required
• Professional freediving certification is not required – Freedive Academy will provide additional in-house freediving and safety training
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the Philippines
• This position is currently open to Filipino applicants only

Location

This is a full-time on-site position based in Tangnan, Panglao, Bohol, Philippines.

The position combines office-based editing and content production with regular on-location and ocean-based photography and filming.

Remote work and hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.
