Job summary

Freedive Academy Panglao Watersport & Tours Go Deep Freediving Mermaid Studio in Panglao, Bohol, is seeking a creative Short-Form Video Producer & Editor to join our content team full-time.

You will turn ideas and raw footage into attention-grabbing Reels, Shorts, and platform-specific videos for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and more, working with a multidisciplinary team to grow our brands.

Qualifications

• Experience editing short-form video content for social platforms.
• Strong understanding of hooks, pacing and viewer retention.
• Ability to add captions, graphics, music and sound effects.
• Portfolio or examples of short-form video work required.
• Experience with on-location filming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit Reels, Shorts, and other short-form video content across Apnea Dynamics brands.
• Develop hooks and opening sequences to capture attention.
• Use pacing, cuts, music, captions and graphics to improve retention.
• Adapt longer footage into short-form content.
• Film supporting footage when required for concepts.

Job Overview

Apnea Dynamics is looking for a creative and highly motivated Short-Form Video Producer & Editor to join our content team full-time in Panglao, Bohol.

This role is focused on producing engaging short-form video content for Freedive Academy Panglao, Go Deep Freediving, Panglao Watersport & Tours, Mermaid Studio, and other Apnea Dynamics projects.

Your primary responsibility will be turning ideas, trends, existing footage, and newly captured content into high-quality Reels and short-form videos that capture attention, tell stories, and help grow our brands across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms.

This is more than a traditional video editing position. We are looking for someone who understands short-form content — hooks, pacing, storytelling, retention, music, captions, trends, and what makes someone stop scrolling.

You will work closely with our wider content team, including content creators, photographers, marketing staff, and management, to develop ideas and maintain a consistent flow of engaging video content.

The ideal candidate is creative, fast, organized, comfortable experimenting with new formats, and genuinely interested in understanding why some videos perform better than others.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit Reels, Shorts, and other short-form video content across Apnea Dynamics brands
• Develop strong hooks and opening sequences designed to capture attention
• Use pacing, cuts, music, sound effects, captions, graphics, and visual storytelling to improve viewer retention
• Adapt longer footage, interviews, activities, and existing media into short-form content
• Work with underwater, tourism, lifestyle, educational, and behind-the-scenes footage
• Develop short-form video concepts together with the wider content and marketing team
• Identify opportunities to turn everyday company activities into engaging social content
• Film supporting footage when required for specific Reels or content concepts
• Create platform-appropriate versions for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Follow relevant social media trends and adapt them appropriately to our brands
• Experiment with different formats, hooks, editing styles, and storytelling approaches
• Review content performance and use insights to improve future videos
• Maintain consistent visual quality and brand identity across published content
• Organize raw footage, project files, templates, and completed media efficiently
• Maintain a reliable and consistent content production workflow
• Stay current with editing techniques, social media formats, AI-assisted creative tools, and short-form content trends
• Represent Apnea Dynamics and its brands professionally at all times

Requirements

• Experience editing short-form video content, Reels, Shorts, TikToks, or similar social media videos
• Strong video editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar software
• Strong understanding of short-form storytelling, pacing, hooks, and viewer retention
• Good creative judgment and ability to identify the strongest moments within raw footage
• Understanding of social media trends and modern content styles
• Ability to add captions, graphics, music, sound effects, and other elements that strengthen a video
• Basic camera operation and videography skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to produce content efficiently and work with regular publishing deadlines
• Comfortable receiving feedback and revising content
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider content team
• Strong organizational and media file-management skills
• Interest in tourism, freediving, watersports, travel, or ocean lifestyle content is highly preferred
• Experience using AI-assisted editing or creative tools is an advantage
• Portfolio or examples of previous short-form video work are required
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the Philippines

Location

This is a full-time on-site position based in Tangnan, Panglao, Bohol, Philippines.

The position is primarily focused on editing and content production but will also include on-location filming and content creation when required.
