Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation’s Didipio mine in the Philippines seeks an Engineer- Mine Planning (underground) to ensure efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible extraction. This role reports to the Senior Engineer - Mine Planning and will develop short- and long-term mine plans to optimize operations.

You will analyze geological data, conduct risk assessments, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in underground mining
• Registered Mining Engineer designation
• Driver’s license advantageous
• Radio Operator’s License advantageous
• Experience in Surface and Underground mining operations
• Knowledge of Deswik CAD and INX is required

Responsibilities

• Develop short-term and long-term mine plans
• Analyze geological data to optimize plans
• Assist in risk assessments and mitigation plans
• Identify risks affecting task completion and outcomes
• Communicate risk impacts and corrective actions
• Assess constructability and feasibility of projects
• Evaluate environmental, economic, and social impacts of designs
