Job summary

OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc. is seeking a qualified Engineer- Mine Planning to ensure efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible extraction of mineral resources at the Didipio mine in Luzon, Philippines.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer - Mine Planning, you will develop plans and assess risks across underground operations. The role requires 2+ years in underground mining, a valid Mining Engineer registration, and experience with Deswik CAD/INX and blasting practices.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’+ experience in underground mining operations.
Registered Mining Engineer.
Driver’s license advantageous; Radio Operator’s License advantageous.
Experience in surface and underground mining operations.
Proficiency in Deswik CAD and INX; knowledge of drilling and blasting practices.

Responsibilities

Develops short-term and long-term mine plans.
Analyzes geological data to optimize plans.
Assists in risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Assesses factors affecting task delivery and project goals.
Identifies risks including potential errors or fraud.
Communicates impacts of risks and recommends actions.
Assesses constructability and feasibility of projects.
Evaluates risk, reliability, and uncertainty in designs and their broader impacts.
