Job summary

Sleek is hiring for a UK-focused accounting role based remotely in the Philippines. You will prepare bookkeeping, VAT and year-end work for UK small businesses, operating within a five-person pod led by a UK-based Senior Accounts Manager.

You will use cloud software and AI tools to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in accounting, familiarity with Xero or QuickBooks, and strong written English to communicate with UK clients.

Qualifications

• A degree in commerce, accounting or finance (e.g. B.Com or BS Accountancy).
• At least 2 years in accounting, including UK clients experience.
• Experience with VAT returns and bank reconciliations.
• Written English suitable for direct client correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Keep client books up to date in Xero, including bank reconciliations and ledgers.
• Prepare VAT returns under UK digitisation rules (MTD).
• Draft year end accounts and CT600s as you grow.
• Review your own work before submission and address corrections.
• Proactively chase missing records and manage deadlines with UK clients.
• Maintain accurate client records and workflow data; leverage AI tools in routine tasks.
