We are looking for an experienced and responsible professional to join our team as a Tugboat Captain.
The Tugboat Captain is responsible for safely operating and navigating the tugboat, supervising the crew, and ensuring efficient vessel operations in compliance with maritime regulations and company procedures.
Operate and navigate the tugboat safely during towing, berthing, unberthing, and maneuvering operations.
Supervise and coordinate the tugboat crew and assign duties as needed.
Ensure compliance with maritime laws, safety regulations, and company procedures.
Conduct pre-operation checks and ensure the vessel is properly equipped and seaworthy.
Monitor weather, sea conditions, and navigational hazards during operations.
Coordinate with port personnel, vessel crews, and project teams during marine operations.
Maintain accurate vessel logs, reports, and required documentation.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure the safety of the crew, vessel, and cargo.
Valid MARINA license/certificate appropriate for the position.
Relevant experience as a Tugboat Captain/Master or in similar marine operations.
Knowledge of vessel navigation, towing operations, and maritime safety procedures.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
Physically fit and medically qualified to work onboard.
Willing to work on a shifting schedule and assigned marine/project sites.
Experience in construction, barge, port, or marine project operations.
Familiarity with towing and barge operations.
