Job summary

China Bank Group is seeking a Trust Assistant to support the Trust and Asset Management Group with key accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and monitoring functions. The role ensures accuracy of financial records, regulatory compliance, and timely completion of trust accounting activities.

You will handle daily trial balance, GL postings, reconciliation of balances, and preparation of regulatory and internal reports, while monitoring fees and compliance with audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably major in Accountancy.
• No prior professional experience required.
• Strong understanding of accounting policies, practices, and internal control concepts.
• Analytical and systematic, with strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Good interpersonal and coordination skills.
• Able to work effectively with different units within the Trust and Asset Management Group and other internal units of the Bank.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily trial balance and process year-end closing activities for the Trust and Asset Management Group.
• Post accounting entries to the Bank’s General Ledger and recognize income from trust operations.
• Validate and reconcile Trust General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledger balances, asset balances, and maintained checking accounts.
• Reconcile assets held with third-party custodians, registrars, and counterparties.
• Prepare and submit regulatory, internal, management, and audit reports.
• Monitor trust fees, reserves, security deposits, dormant and escheated accounts, and other trust-related requirements.
• Review system-generated accruals, amortizations, market valuations, and maintenance activities against audit logs.
• Report covered transactions and manage alerts in the AML Electronic Monitoring System.
• Perform daily Net Asset Value pricing for Unit Investment Trust Funds
