About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Supervisor to join us in Lingunan, Valenzuela City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transport and logistics operations. As Transport Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily transport activities, managing vehicle fleets, supervising transport personnel, and ensuring compliance with road transport regulations and safety standards. This role is integral to maintaining our service standards and supporting the growth objectives of our organisation within the road transport sector.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods and adherence to schedules

• Manage and monitor vehicle fleet maintenance, scheduling, and utilisation to optimise operational efficiency

• Oversee driver performance, conduct regular briefings, and ensure compliance with traffic regulations and company policies

• Plan and allocate routes to drivers, considering factors such as distance, delivery requirements, and vehicle capacity

• Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety and roadworthiness standards

• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and other transport-related expenses to control operational costs

• Address and resolve transport-related issues, including vehicle breakdowns, delays, and customer complaints

• Maintain accurate records of transport operations, driver logs, vehicle maintenance, and incident reports

• Ensure all transport operations comply with local and national road transport regulations and safety requirements

• Train and mentor transport staff, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and customer service excellence

• Liaise with management, clients, and other departments to ensure effective coordination and communication

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Transport Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the road transport or logistics industry

• Strong knowledge of road transport operations, vehicle fleet management, and logistics coordination

• Thorough understanding of traffic regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements in the Philippines

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively

• Strong leadership and people management abilities with experience in supervising and motivating transport teams

• Proficiency in using transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with drivers, staff, and management

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Valid driver's licence and preferably a Professional Driver's Licence (PDL)

• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical issues is advantageous

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform site inspections and vehicle checks
