• Coordinates with sales support to notify clients of potential late deliveries.
• Adheres to company policies including safety guidelines.
• Reports timely to Logistics Manager for decisive actions.
• Addresses stakeholder concerns to ensure smooth operations.

Job description

The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that deliveries are made on time and efficiently. He/She is responsible for coordinating team members to ensure that deliveries are made to the correct locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicates effectively with all stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams, to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Concerns on all aspects of transportation planning and schedule coordination to mitigate delays of deliveries. Assigns and schedules drivers and helpers daily to ensure enough coverage and meet client requirements in the absence of the delivery officer.
• Provides coaching and guidance to team members to enhance their performance level.
• Tracks and reports any delivery service issues to the Logistics Manager to strategize and implement improvements in processes and overall efficiency.
• Collaborates closely with the Logistics Manager to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials for dispatch operations.
• Manages and maintains delivery vehicles and equipment before deliveries of products.
• Implements and monitors personnel rotation for weekend and holiday schedules to cover office hours and meet demanding delivery needs.
• Contributes to planning and identifying backup strategies utilizing third-party logistics to ensure smooth operations during peak trucking season.
• Verifies delivery tickets for accuracy and immediately reports to the Logistics Manager for any discrepancies.
• Audits and approves invoices related to maintenance, seasonal drivers, fuel, and day labor while maintaining systematic records.
• Manages documentation for truck and freight delivery services, ensuring efficient delivery and paperwork completion.
• Organizes incoming and outgoing documents and reports before forwarding them to the Logistics Manager.
• Performs backup dispatch responsibilities from time to time to avoid disruption of operations in case of any emergencies.
• Coordinates with the sales support team to ensure clients are notified of potential late deliveries in advance.
• Adheres to all company policies, including break times, dress code, and health and safety guidelines.
• Ensures timeliness in reporting to the Logistic Manager, especially when decisive actions are required.
• Actively addresses and resolves concerns of the stakeholders to ensure a smooth and harmonious delivery operations environment.
• Performs additional responsibilities within capabilities, as delegated by the Logistic Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of college of any course
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation management, dispatch operations, or a related field.
• Must know how to handle transportation planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people handling skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be customer-oriented and keen on detail.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
• Preferably someone living in Bulacan or nearby areas.
