2GO Group Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Transport Manager to plan and organize transport priorities, manage owned fleet and outsourced trucking, and drive cost-efficient delivery across channels.
The role requires deep knowledge of fleet operations, route planning, and strong negotiation with external partners. You will lead process improvements, monitor on-time delivery, and report performance to senior management, ensuring safe and reliable service.
As aTransport Manageryou will beresponsible for planning and organizing priorities related to transport activities and tasks; recognizes and obtains required equipment and/or materials that are needed to do the job; accomplish tasks within established timelines; understand obstacles/ roadblocks; and make alternative plans to ensure timely task accomplishment within the strategic direction and targets of 2GO Logistics.
Ensures profitability and efficient management of Transport.
Identifies, recommends, and implements operational procedures for the transfer and delivery of cargo at theshortestlead-time and cost efficient.
Streamlines processes and optimizes utilization of resources.
Plans cost-savings initiatives
Prepares annualbudget, analyzing variances, and initiates corrective actions to meet transport operations financial objectives.
Reviews On-time-Delivery performance and discuss with internal businessunitsresolutions under performance against desired target.
Initiates operating cost reduction by reviewing and enhancing existing processes and ensure documentation of such.
Responsible for providing on-time information to management in order to execute business plans in efficient manner.
Oversees negotiation with external partners regarding matters including but not limited to rate adjustments, contract negotiation and hiring new suppliers.
Responsible in reporting any development of Transport during Senior Management meeting.
Does regular representation and business reviews with the clients.
Handles and resolves clients’ complaints
Reviews and approves transport billings, invoices, and other relevant documents.
Enables employee development and active participation in process improvement activities.
Maintains good working relation with internal and external partners.
Performs other functions that may be assigned by immediate leader from time to time.
Graduate of 4-year course.
Extensive experience managing both owned fleet and outsourced trucking operations
Strong 3PL logistics background, preferably with experience working for a logistics service provider
Deep knowledge of fleet operations, including dispatch, scheduling, maintenance, compliance, and driver management
Established network of trucking service providers and truck owners that can be leveraged to expand transportation capacity
Expertise in route planning and transport optimization, with strong familiarity of key routes, geographic locations, and delivery challenges
