Job summary

2GO Group Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Transport Manager to plan and organize transport priorities, manage owned fleet and outsourced trucking, and drive cost-efficient delivery across channels.

The role requires deep knowledge of fleet operations, route planning, and strong negotiation with external partners. You will lead process improvements, monitor on-time delivery, and report performance to senior management, ensuring safe and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing both owned fleet and outsourced trucking operations.
• Strong 3PL logistics background, preferably with experience working for a logistics service provider.
• Deep knowledge of fleet operations, including dispatch, scheduling, maintenance, compliance, and driver management.
• Established network of trucking service providers and truck owners that can be leveraged to expand transportation capacity.
• Expertise in route planning and transport optimization, with strong familiarity of key routes, geographic locations, and delivery challenges.

Responsibilities

• Ensures profitability and efficient management of Transport.
• Identifies, recommends, and implements operational procedures for transfer and delivery of cargo at the shortest lead-time and cost efficient.
• Streamlines processes and optimizes utilization of resources.
• Plans cost-savings initiatives.
• Prepares annual budget, analyzing variances, and initiates corrective actions to meet transport operations financial objectives.
• Reviews On-time-Delivery performance and discusses with internal business units resolutions under performance against target.
• Initiates operating cost reduction by reviewing and enhancing existing processes and ensure documentation.
• Provides on-time information to management to execute business plans efficiently.
• Oversees negotiation with external partners including rate adjustments, contract negotiation and hiring new suppliers.
• Reports transport developments during Senior Management meetings.
• Performs client-facing representations and business reviews.
• Handles and resolves clients’ complaints.
• Reviews and approves transport billings, invoices and other relevant documents.
• Encourages employee development and participation in process improvement.
• Maintains good working relationships with internal and external partners.
• Performs other functions assigned by immediate leader.
