Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer certification or equivalent credential.
• Minimum 5 years in water treatment, transmission networks, or heavy industrial facilities.
• Hands-on experience with large booster pumps, valves, and transmission pipelines.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems troubleshooting including flow rate, pressure, and water hammer mitigation.
• Experience with SCADA/telemetry for remote monitoring is advantageous.

Job Summary

The Transmission Facility Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the Treated Water Pipeline (TWP) and other plant facilities. The role ensures that pipelines, valves, and mechanical equipment are properly maintained to achieve reliable operations, maximize asset life, and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pipelines, valves, and other mechanical equipment.

• Coordinate maintenance schedules with Operations to minimize service interruptions.

• Monitor asset condition and prepare maintenance and asset reports.

• Develop and improve maintenance procedures and programs.

• Manage maintenance contractors and service providers.

• Ensure maintenance activities are completed within the approved budget.

• Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and asset performance.

• Experience with SCADA and telemetry systems for remote monitoring of facilities is an advantage.

• Knowledge of asset management systems and the ability to read GIS pipeline infrastructure maps is an advantage.

• Specialized training in fluid mechanics, hydraulics, or plant maintenance operations is an advantage.
