Job summary

SGV & Co. in Metro Manila is seeking a Senior Associate for Transaction Diligence to support financial due diligence on transactions with private equity groups and strategic buyers. You will review financial data, perform analyses, and contribute to client deliverables.

You will prepare reports, assist project teams, and build strong client relationships while collaborating with the Transaction Diligence team in a dynamic, professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or finance with at least three years of relevant work experience.
• CPA license would be advantageous.
• Experience in audit or mergers or acquisitions transactions is preferred.
• Experience in a large professional services organization is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in financial due diligence engagements related to transactions involving private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers
• Analyze the financial and operational results of businesses to be acquired or sold through reviewing accounting records and participating in interviews with management
• Work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
• Prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation
• Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information
• Assist in researching technical accounting issues to evaluate implications on transaction valuation and structuring
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel

Our Transaction Diligence professionals focus on providing comprehensive due diligence services for mergers and acquisitions. This includes in-depth analysis of financial, operational, and strategic aspects of a target company to identify risks, validate financial health, and assess overall viability. The goal is to ensure clients make informed investment decisions, negotiate favorable terms, and achieve successful, value-creating transactions.

As a Senior Associate in Transaction Diligence, you will help clients make informed business decisions by reviewing company financials, conducting research, and identifying key trends and risks related to transactions. You will also prepare reports, support project teams, and build strong working relationships with clients.

What we look for:

• Strong presentation and report writing skills
• A proven record of excellence in audit and/or mergers or acquisitions transactions role.
