Job summary

Western Union is seeking a Training Specialist in the Philippines to design, develop, and deliver learning programs that align with business goals. You will mentor learners and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.

The role requires facilitating sessions, tracking training records, and adapting to evolving processes while maintaining attention to detail. Occasional travel up to 50% may be needed, and in-person collaboration is valued.

Qualifications

• 9+ months in functions similar to those the Training team supports with demonstrated strong performance.
• Interest in adult learning and training development; experience with facilitating training or mentoring peers.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to engage diverse groups.
• Ability to communicate at ease with supervisor/manager/leader levels.
• Intermediate knowledge of the main MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement training programs aligned with organizational objectives and learner needs.
• Deliver engaging training sessions across formats, log training records and maintain programs.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, managers, and trainers for content accuracy.
• Analyze learning data and feedback to improve training effectiveness.
• Identify learning needs and recommend targeted training solutions.
• Support coordination and execution of training projects (planning, scheduling, resources).
• Travel up to 50%+ of time depending on project/operational needs.
• Maintain project documentation, milestones, and flag risks for timely delivery.

Role Responsibilities

As a Training Specialist, you will contribute to the success of learning initiatives byidentifyingtraining needs, recommending solutions, and delivering impactful learning experiences. • Participate in regularcustomerengagement activities (e.g., customer calls, support sessions, or observations) tomaintainpracticalexpertiseand ensure trainingremainsaligned with customer needsdepending on the supported skills.

• Support administrative tasks related to traininglogistics, reporting, andrecord-keeping.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals and drive employee performance through effective training initiatives.

• Assistinmaintainingproject documentation, tracking milestones, and flagging risks to ensuretimelyand quality delivery of training programs.

• Adapt to evolving business needs by learning and supporting different processes asrequired.

• Commit to travel (up to50%+of working time) basedon project or operational needs.

Role Requirements

• 9+ months in functions similar to those the Training team supports with demonstrated strong performance. Experience with Compliance Operations teams is considered an advantage.

• Interestin adult learning and training development. Experience with facilitating training, mentoring peers, or similar, either at Western Union or elsewhere.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

• Strong presentation skills, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse groups.

• Ability to communicate at ease with supervisor/manager/leader levels

• Intermediate knowledge of the main MS Office tools.

• Facilitation skills, mentoring / coaching, proactiveness, collaboration, attentiveness to detail, analytical skills, growth mindset

• Flexibility to adjust to different shifts occasionally.

• Knowledge of instructional designand trainingexperienceconsideredan advantage.

It will be considered an advantage if you have:

A diploma, formal certification or proven informal education experience in training, education, instructional design, psychology, or related fields.
