Job summary

Brainbox is seeking a Traffic Management Designer to develop and manage Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) that protect worksites and road users while minimising disruption. You will prepare TMP documentation, gain approvals from RCAs, and produce accurate traffic management diagrams for infrastructure projects.

The role involves designing TMPs, liaising with clients and RCAs, and ensuring thorough documentation and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM) and the NZ Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM).
• Experience using RapidPlan or similar traffic management planning software.
• Understanding of RCA approval processes and requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) in line with client and project requirements.
• Produce traffic management diagrams and practical TMP solutions using RapidPlan.
• Submit and manage TMP approvals and renewals with Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs).
• Complete project risk assessments and identify appropriate traffic controls.
• Liaise with clients, RCAs, and delivery teams throughout the approval process.
